Created by Théâtre de la Ville-Paris, the Literary Ball is a dance & poetry adventure that is constantly reinvented by the audience.
The rules ? A group of artists gathers together at dawn around a list of very famous songs. They write together a story. Every chapter of it ends by the title of one of the songs.
In the evening of the same day the audience is in the ballroom and the authors tell together the story they’ve written in record time !
The “dancing audience” is invited to listen carefully to every text and to madly dance afterwards on every song… On the occasion of the Tandem Paris-Madrid, the Literary Ball becomes international : it will speak two different languages and the songs will be Frenche and Spanish !
The Tandem Paris-Madrid is organized by Paris City Hall, Madrid City Hall and Institut Francais, in collaboration with the French Embassy and the Institut Français in Madrid and the Instituto Cervantes and the Spanish Embassy in France.
