Around the globe chain play

Lola Blasco participó en la escritura de la obra que se estrenó (como lectura dramatizada) el 27 de marzo de 2015 en The Lark Play Development Center, Nueva York.

Unlike film, music and video, theater is a local thing, hardly ever streamed to a global audience (the exceptions being programs such as NT Live or the Met opera broadcasts). The Around the Globe Chain Play wants to turn that geographic limitation into a writing opportunity. Presented by NYC World Theatre Day for the third year in a row, the Chain Play will be written “as it travels around the world making 18 stops with playwrights from 16 countries.” It’s like the game “Exquisite Corpse”: Each writer will add one to four pages of new material that pushes the plot along and inspires the next writer.
